A masking set for the glazing of a model of the B-25B Mitchell in 1:72 scale. On a bomber masking is an incomparably bigger piece of work than on a fighter - there are more glazed areas, they are in various places on the airframe and each one has a different shape of frame. It is precisely here that ready-made masks pay off the most. The masks are cut for the Airfix kit.
The North American B-25 Mitchell was a twin-engine medium bomber with nose landing gear and twin vertical tail surfaces. The B-25B version had a glazed nose for the navigator and a rotating gun turret above the fuselage. In shape it is an aircraft on which the glazing cannot be got around or left out during the build - it is visible from every angle.
Reckon with the fact that with this set you will spend more time over the cabin and the nose than with a single-seat fighter. The glazing of the nose has a lot of small panes and the frame between them is really thin in 1:72 scale, so do not set about it without tweezers and good light. Proceed one pane at a time, lay every mask straight into place and only then press it down - sliding it over the surface is the quickest way to a creased mask. After sticking them on, go over the edges with a toothpick. Spray the paint in thin coats; a thick coat will make a noticeable step on that many edges.
