A photo-etched set for the interior of a model of the American medium bomber B-26B/C Marauder in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Martin B-26 Marauder was an American twin-engine medium bomber of the Second World War. Because of its small wing area and high landing speeds it earned a reputation among crews at first as a demanding machine, but once the crews were trained and the wing modified it became a dependable type with low combat losses. The B-26B and B-26C versions differed mainly in the place of manufacture and in progressive changes to the armament.
The set brings photo-etched parts for the interior of a B-26B/C model in 1:72 scale. Etching makes it possible to create instrument panels, belts, consoles and further features in a thickness injection-molded plastic cannot come close to, so once the glazing is in place the cockpit reads convincingly. The extent of the parts and their position are described in the manufacturer's instructions enclosed.
Interior parts are fitted before the fuselage is joined, so think the order of work through and dry-fit everything. Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface and bend them along the marked grooves, best in a photo-etch bending tool. They are bonded with cyanoacrylate glue applied in a minute quantity so that it does not run across the detail. Degrease the parts that will be painted and give them a base coat for metal.
The set will be appreciated by modelers who want a well-drawn cockpit in a small scale and are not afraid of working with tweezers and very small parts. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
