A precisely turned metal pitot tube from the Polish manufacturer MASTER for models of the British supersonic BAC (English Electric) Lightning fighter in 1:72 scale. This is not a model of the aircraft but a metal replacement for the long nose tube, which on plastic models is among the most vulnerable parts.
Compared with plastic the metal pitot is markedly thinner, sharper and above all resistant to bending and breaking. The characteristic slender tube on the tip of the Lightning thus gains a scale-accurate shape and will survive ordinary handling and painting.
