Peewit 1:72 Bf 110C-3/C-4 Zerstorer

This masking set from Peewit accompanies the build of a Messerschmitt Bf 110 model in the C-3 and C-4 versions in 1:72 scale. It is used during painting, where it keeps the paint off the glazing and holds the edges of the frames straight. The set is neither a model of the aircraft nor a photo-etched detail; it is an aid that saves time and nerves over the fine framing of the glazed nose and the long canopy.

The Bf 110 heavy fighter

The Messerschmitt Bf 110 was created as a twin-engined machine of the Zerstorer category, that is a long-range heavy fighter with great range and heavy forward-firing armament. The C series versions relied on Daimler-Benz engines and were used in the campaign in the West and over the British Isles, where it turned out that the type was at a disadvantage against nimble single-engined fighters. The Bf 110 had its best chapter later as a night fighter, where the great range and the room for a radar operator were an advantage.
