A set of pre-cut self-adhesive masks in 1:72 scale for a model of the German twin-engine Messerschmitt Bf 110C.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Messerschmitt Bf 110C was a German twin-engine heavy fighter of the Second World War with two inverted V12 Daimler-Benz DB 601 engines. The crew consisted of the pilot and, seated behind him, a crewman who aimed the rear flexible gun. Characteristic is the long glazed cockpit running across the whole center section of the fuselage, divided by a large number of frames, and the glazed nose.
The set holds pre-cut self-adhesive masks in 1:72 scale. You pop the individual shapes out of the fret and stick them on, so there is no cutting strips of adhesive tape by eye. On a cockpit as long as this aircraft has, that is a real saving of both time and nerves: masking dozens of frames by hand takes more work than the whole rest of building the cockpit. Which areas the set covers is given in its instructions.
Apply the masks before spraying onto clean and dry glazing; grease makes a mask hold badly. Press the edges down with a toothpick or a blunt wooden stick. Spray the paint in thin coats; on a long cockpit it is better to cover the frames first in the interior shade and only then in the exterior shade, because the transition then looks convincing from the inside. Remove the masks shortly after the paint has dried, slowly and at an angle. Wipe adhesive residue off with a cotton swab moistened with water, not with thinner.
For modelers who build twin-engine aircraft and do not want to spend evenings cutting tape for dozens of frames. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
