A sheet of decals in 1:72 scale from the British brand Xtradecal with markings for Beaufighters in the Mk.X version. It is neither a kit nor a plastic accessory, but a printed sheet meant for a finished painted model. Which particular machines and units the sheet covers, and how wide the accompanying set of lettering is, is given on the packaging and in the instructions supplied. Compare what the manufacturer gives on the packaging before buying with the model you want to use the sheet on.
The Bristol Beaufighter was a two-seat twin-engined aircraft with Bristol Hercules radial engines, derived in design from the same maker's torpedo bomber. The Mk.X version was the strike variant intended for coastal operations, that is for attacks on surface targets with rockets or a torpedo. The crew consisted of a pilot and a second man in a station set further back. The Beaufighter had a robust airframe, strong armament and, on later batches, a change to the tail surfaces as well, a detail that differs from machine to machine.
Do not forget to unify the surface at the end. The gloss varnish on which the decals are laid turns the model into an unnaturally polished object, and the transition between the film of the decal and the surrounding paint is clearly noticeable on it. Once the decals are dry, therefore, spray the whole model with a matte or semi-gloss varnish according to the surface you want. Spray thinly and in several coats, because matte varnishes laid on all at once lighten and may turn white once dry. Before spraying, let the decals dry for at least a day, otherwise moisture will be left under the varnish.
The package contains the decal sheet only. The kit, paints and varnishes are not part of it.
