British fuselage steps is a photo-etched metal set of boarding steps and handholds for the fuselages of British aircraft in 1:72 scale. This is an accessory, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an airplane model, but a photo-etched metal accessory set. It contains the boarding steps and handholds that British aircraft had on the side of the fuselage for climbing into the cockpit. In 1:72 scale these features are usually only suggested on the plastic part, or missing altogether, so photo-etched metal replaces them with a convincing thickness and a sharp shape.
Proceed by sanding the molded suggestion away first and smoothing the surface. Open steps are fitted into a hole that is carefully drilled or cut out to suit the particular part, while with the blanked-off versions it is enough to glue the part onto the surface. Separate the photo-etched parts with a scalpel on a hard surface, bend them with a photo-etch bender or between two blades, and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue applied with the tip of a fine wire. Degrease the metal before painting and use a metal primer, otherwise the paint will not hold on the smooth surface. Tweezers and good lighting will make the work easier, as the parts are small.
The set is an accessory for a kit. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
