1:72 British WWI roundels

British WWI roundels (1:72, Mark I)

A supplementary decal sheet from the Czech manufacturer Mark I with British circular national insignia (roundels) from the period of the First World War. It is not a kit and not paint, but a set of waterslide decals for adding to or replacing the national markings on models of period aircraft. The sheet offers roundels in several sizes for the fuselage and the wings.

The real subject

The Royal Flying Corps (RFC) in the First World War used concentric circular insignia in three colors. The roundels differed in diameter according to their position on the airframe and according to the type of aircraft.

Use

• The decals are activated in lukewarm water and transferred onto a dried varnished surface.
• A choice of several diameters for the wings and the fuselage.
• A gloss surface is recommended for adhesion without silvering.
• The insignia are sealed with clear varnish according to the sheen you want, usually matte on period machines.

Who it is for

For builders of British First World War aircraft in 1:72 scale who want accurate national insignia that are faithful in color.

Decals are not paint or glue. Protect the sheet from damp and direct sunlight.
