Bulgarian Arrows No. 3 - the Bf 109 E-3a in Bulgarian service 1:72 is a decal sheet from the brand Exotic Decals for plastic models of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 E in 1:72 scale. It is an accessory to a model, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The third sheet of the Bulgarian Arrows series from the maker Exotic Decals offers the markings of Bulgarian Messerschmitt Bf 109 E-3a machines in 1:72 scale. The set holds decals, not plastic parts - a model of the Bf 109 E is obtained separately.
How it follows on within the range
The Bulgarian Arrows series comes out in several sheets and in two scales. The individual parts differ in the machines covered, so a builder with more than one Emil under way can reach for several sheets and not repeat the same markings twice.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 E was among the most widespread European fighters at the turn of the 1930s and 1940s. Characteristic of it are the angular outlines of the wing, a deep radiator under the center section and a narrow track of the main undercarriage. The E-3a version was an export form meant for foreign customers. The Bulgarian Air Force used these machines from the beginning of the 1940s, mainly for the defense of its own airspace and for training. The Bulgarian national insignia differed markedly from the German, which gives a model an unusual look at first glance.
The base has to be a finished coat sealed with gloss varnish. Cut the motif out close to the edge of the print, soak it briefly in warm water and once the adhesive comes free, slide it onto a dampened place. Seating the decal into engraved lines and over raised details is helped by a decal softener; be careful with the pressure of the brush, as a softened film tears easily. Once it is dry, wash the remains of adhesive off with a damp cloth and seal the surface with varnish in the chosen degree of gloss.
It is a decal set in its own right. The model, paints, varnish and a decal softener are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
