A photo-etched accessory from the Czech maker Eduard for the interior of a C-130J Hercules model in 1:72 scale. This is a full photo-etched set, not the reduced Zoom set, which covers only a selected part of the cockpit. Interior photo-etch comes into its own above all on instrument panels, consoles, levers and belts, that is on elements where a plastic molding is necessarily thicker than the scale would allow.
The Lockheed Martin C-130J Super Hercules is a four-engine turboprop transport aircraft. Its cockpit changed substantially compared with the older versions of the Hercules: it has digital displays and is laid out for a smaller flight crew, so the look of the space under the glazing differs from the older machines of the family. The glazing is extensive and the interior under it is clearly visible on a finished model.
Separate the parts with a sharp scalpel and make the bends over a metal ruler or in a bending tool. Bond with a tiny drop of super glue, ideally applied with a pin. Degrease the metal before painting and spray it with a primer. Finish and fit the interior before you close the fuselage and glue the glazing on, otherwise you will no longer be able to reach it. A dark wash and a dry brush help the detail.
The set is an accessory to a kit, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
