A plastic kit of a captured T-34-85 tank rearmed with the German 8.8 cm KwK 36 gun from the Tiger I, in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The T-34-85 is the late form of the Soviet T-34 medium tank. Compared with the older vehicles it received a larger three-man turret and an 85 mm gun, so the commander could at last devote himself to directing the fight instead of working the weapon. Captured T-34s were used by the German side as well, usually with conspicuously large crosses, so that their own units would not fire on a vehicle of such a familiar silhouette.
The kit in 1:72 scale represents a captured T-34-85 rearmed with the German 8.8 cm KwK 36, that is the weapon carried by the Tiger I tank. The result was a combination of a Soviet hull with a German barrel, a machine that catches the eye in a display case precisely because of how unusual it is. The appearance of the vehicle, its markings and its color scheme are given in the maker's instructions, and that is also what to follow when choosing accessories.
It suits builders of small-scale equipment as well as collectors of unusual conversions, which belong in a display case precisely because they are not to be seen everywhere. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted; paints, glue and accessory sets are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The exact contents of the package and the number of parts are given in the maker's data sheet.
