Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the machine gun version of the famous Renault FT tank, designated Char mitrailleur FT-31, in 1:72 scale from the Polish manufacturer RPM. It is an older mold suited to more experienced modelers. The package contains plastic parts, decals and instructions, the exact contents following the manufacturer's catalog; this release also covers captured machines in German service. The model will please fans of the Renault FT family.
The Renault FT was a groundbreaking French light tank of the end of the First World War, generally regarded as the first series-built tank with a fully rotating turret and with the layout still used today (driver at the front, turret in the middle, engine at the rear). The FT-31 version was an interwar modernization of the machine gun tanks in which the original machine gun was replaced by a more modern weapon of 7.5 mm caliber. After the fall of France in 1940 the Wehrmacht took over a number of captured FT tanks, which it designated Panzerkampfwagen 730(f) and used for second-line and guard duties.
Use liquid cement for plastic and count on cleaning up the mold seams, as this is an older mold. Finish the running gear before you close the hull. Apply a primer before painting and lay the paints on with an airbrush. Depending on the marking you choose, you will paint either the French or the captured German version; a pronounced weathering suits the muddy running gear above all.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
