1:72 Consolidated B-24H Liberator LööKplus is an Eduard accessory set for a model of the four-engine bomber, aimed at the cockpit and the undercarriage wheels.
Responsibility details are not available.
The package from the LööKplus range brings the instrument panel of the pilot's compartment, seat belts for the crew and cast undercarriage wheels. There is no aircraft in it; the set serves to raise a model of the four-engine bomber in 1:72 scale that has already been bought.
The Liberator was an American heavy bomber with a high-set wing of large slender shape and with two vertical tails. The B-24H version differs from the older machines above all in the turret in the nose, which filled the earlier glazed compartment and improved the defense against head-on attacks. The combination of long range and respectable load made the Liberator one of the most numerously built American aircraft of its day.
With a large bomber it pays to prepare the whole pilot's compartment outside the fuselage and fit it as one unit. Let the belts drape loosely over the seat backs so that the seats do not come across as empty shells. Fit the wheels after the paintwork is finished and sand the lower surface of the tire lightly so that the model looks loaded. Finally, consider a fine emphasis of the depths in the cockpit with a dark shade; with the large glazing of the pilot's compartment the interior is viewed through the glass at a sharp angle and a flat surface shows at once.
