The particular machines, the units and the number of schemes given are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging of the sheet and in the instructions enclosed, so compare them before buying with your intention.
The Convair F-106 Delta Dart is a single-engined supersonic interceptor fighter of the American air defense with a tailless layout and a large delta wing. It came about by development from the older F-102 and first flew in 1956. Characteristic of it are the fuselage section shaped according to the area rule, a powerful jet engine with an afterburner and a guidance system that worked closely with the ground network of the air defense: the pilot functioned more as the manager of an automated approach than as a classic fighter pilot. The armament was hidden in a weapons bay in the fuselage, so that air resistance stayed as low as possible. In service it lasted from the end of the 1950s to the 1980s, when the type finished its time with the Air National Guard.
A delta wing means large continuous areas and, with them, large-area decals as well, for example stripes across the whole side or prominent tail markings. With pieces like these, prepare a wet area first: rub the base with a brush and water, and only then slide the decal on, so that it can still be moved. Press the surplus water out from the center toward the edges with a soft cloth or a cotton swab, so that no bubble is left under the film. Never pull a large decal by its edge: carry it supported by a brush along its whole length.
The package contains only a decal sheet. The kit, paints and glue are not part of it.
