A set of unpainted figures in 1:72 scale with the subject of Landsknechts, German mercenaries of the sixteenth century, in the heavy infantry guise.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Landsknechts were mercenary foot soldiers hired in the lands of the Holy Roman Empire in the sixteenth century, and they fought all over Europe. Their main strength was a close array of long pikes complemented by halberds and two-handed swords. You will recognize them at first glance by their striking clothing with slashed sleeves and hose and by their broad hats. The designation heavy infantry points to those among them who wore plate protection on the body and stood in the front ranks of the array.
This is a set of figures in 1:72 scale intended to be built and painted rather than finished painted models. The number of figures, their poses and the division of the armament are given in the enclosed manufacturer's instructions. The set suits a historical diorama as well as display on its own, and at this scale it can be combined with further figures and buildings of the same scale.
Before painting, wash the figures in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent and let them dry out completely. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder down carefully. Choose the glue according to the kind of plastic: a solvent cement suits hard polystyrene, while on softer plastics cyanoacrylate holds more reliably. A base coat always pays off with figures. The colorful clothing of the Landsknechts will bear more saturated colors than later uniforms, but with small areas it is better to divide them by the contrast of a dark shadow and a lighter highlight, otherwise the detail will be lost at this scale.
A set of figures is supplied. Paints, glue, primer and a base are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
