The box holds over 220 parts on ten sprues, rubber tires, a photo-etch fret and a copper tube; the finished model measures roughly 296 mm in length and looks impressive even at this scale.
The Dongfeng-41, DF-41 for short, is a Chinese intercontinental ballistic missile powered by solid fuel. It was first shown officially to the public at a military parade in Beijing in 2019, and it is generally credited with the ability to carry several independently targeted warheads. The missile is carried and launched by an eight-axle TEL vehicle, which gives the system mobility and with it a far greater difficulty of detection than launch silos have.
Split the build into the chassis, the cab and the transport canister; glue the long seams of the canister first and sand them down so that no step is left anywhere. A plain green scheme comes to life with gentle lightening of the centers of the panels with an airbrush, a panel wash and a light dusting of the wheels and the fenders. Fit the tires only after painting to save yourself masking.
It is a kit in parts, without paints and without glue: the finished model comes about on your own bench.
