This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale captures the American Diamond T969 heavy wrecker. The model was released by the Polish brand IBG Models as a new mold. It is supplied as a set of plastic parts with a decal sheet; the exact package contents are not stated here.
The Diamond T969 belongs to the series of four-ton 6x6 trucks that the US Army put into production at the beginning of 1941. The wrecker version was fitted with a crane boom and a winch for recovering and repairing vehicles in the field. Diamond T trucks served on most battlefields of the Second World War, and British, Canadian and Polish units used them too.
Finish the running gear and the engine compartment before you close the cab; on some builds the crane boom can be left movable. We recommend a primer coat, an airbrush and weathering with washes and pigments for mud effects. Liquid cement for plastic will make work with the fine parts of the body easier.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
