An add-on photo-etched set in 1:72 scale for a model of the German Dornier Do 335A-0 fighter. It serves to refine the detail of the kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Dornier Do 335 was a German fighter from the end of the Second World War and stood out among contemporary machines by the layout of its powerplant. One engine with a propeller sat in the nose, the second in the rear of the fuselage and drove a propeller placed behind the cruciform tail surfaces. The tandem arrangement gave the airplane the performance of a twin-engined machine without the drag of engine nacelles on the wing. The designation A-0 belonged to the pre-production machines, which were built in small numbers and served mainly for trials and for training.
A photo-etched set in 1:72 scale intended for detailing a model of the Do 335A-0. The photo-etched parts replace places where a plastic part is inherently thick and add a fineness that cannot be reached in plastic. The list of parts and the kit the set is prepared for are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut the parts out of the photo-etched fret with a sharp blade on a hard surface, do not break them out. Make the bends over the edge of a ruler or in a photo-etch bending tool, so that the edge is sharp and straight. Photo-etched parts are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) applied in drops onto the tip of a toothpick, not straight from the bottle. Degrease the parts and apply a primer before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold on the metal.
The airplane kit, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
