Eduard 1:72 F-104 masks is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set in kabuki tape for masking the cockpit glazing and wheels of a supersonic fighter model. It is not a model but an accessory that makes painting easier.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard contains precisely cut self-adhesive masks in fine Japanese kabuki tape for a model of the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit or a finished model but an accessory that makes masking for spraying easier and more accurate.
The masks are stuck onto the frames of the canopy and onto the wheel rims, so that after spraying the glass stays clear and the tires free of paint. Kabuki tape conforms well to curved shapes, holds tight and leaves no adhesive when peeled off. The canopy frames therefore come out sharp and straight without cutting tape by hand.
The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter was an American single-seat supersonic fighter and interceptor with very thin, short trapezoidal wings and a General Electric J79 engine. Its exceptional performance and slender fuselage earned it the nickname the missile with a man in it, and it served with a number of NATO air forces.
The set contains only the cut-out masking parts. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
