Quinta Studio 1:72 F-104J Starfighter - 3D-printed interior offers color-printed raised cockpit details on backing decal paper for F-104J models. Target kit: Hasegawa.
Responsibility details are not available.
A color 3D-printed cockpit interior from Quinta Studio in 1:72 scale. The details are printed in several layers on backing decal paper, so the instrument panel and the side consoles look three-dimensional and stand out more than an ordinary decal. It is not photo-etch and not resin, and it is not an aircraft kit but an accessory for refining the interior of an F-104J model. The set is intended for the Hasegawa kit.
The F-104J was the version of the Starfighter built for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. It was intended above all for air defense and flew in Japanese service for many years. The set reproduces the layout and the markings of its cockpit.
First coat the cockpit surfaces with gloss varnish (Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22) and let them dry. Cut the part from the sheet, dip it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the paper into place; it has no adhesive layer of its own and holds on precisely that gloss varnish. On broken-up surfaces a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as their chemistry attacks the printed resin. The pre-printed colors need no painting.
This is an accessory set of decals, not an aircraft kit. The Hasegawa base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
