Photo-etched sheet in 1:72 scale for a model of the two-seat Eagle. The code range places the item among the full sets, that is a wider selection of parts than in the narrowed Zoom form. The aircraft itself is not in the envelope; this is an accessory for a plastic kit that the modeler obtains separately.
The F-15D is the two-seat training counterpart of a fighter made for gaining air superiority. The rear cockpit came about at the cost of some internal volume, but the flying qualities and the armament stayed at the level of the single-seat version, so the machine could carry out combat tasks as well. Its hallmarks are the rectangular air intakes with adjustable ramps and the large wing area, thanks to which the aircraft keeps its agility even at high weight.
In a small scale the parts are genuinely tiny, so put a light surface under your hand and work over a closed box. Keep the fret together as long as possible and snip the individual pieces off only at the moment of gluing. Apply the paint with an airbrush, thinned into several thin coats, because a heavy coat would flood the fine relief of the sheet. Before fitting, rid the sheet of grease from your fingers, otherwise the paint will not hold on the smooth metal.
