Eduard SPACE for the F-15J Eagle MSIP 1:72 fits out the Japanese Eagle with a cockpit matching the updated machines.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the SPACE cockpit range aims at the updated Japanese variant of the Eagle. The relief panel with its color finish captures the layout of the machines after the MSIP program, so the interior of the model matches the present form of these aircraft, and that without a single brush stroke over the instruments.
The F-15J is the licensed version of the heavy Eagle fighter built in Japan by the Mitsubishi company for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. The continuing improvement program designated MSIP brought, among other things, new avionics and reworked display equipment in the cockpit, thanks to which the Japanese Eagles remain combat capable even after decades of uninterrupted service protecting their airspace. The individual machines went through the modifications step by step, so the examples differ in details of their fit.
Paint the base of the cockpit after the Japanese machines, lay the relief elements onto a smooth surface and plan the order of the parts in advance. In modern jet cockpits the screens play the main role; give them a final drop of clear gloss varnish, which creates the impression of glass. Glue the canopy on only once every layer has dried out completely.
