The set from the Polish company MASTER in 1:72 scale holds a turned metal pitot tube and angle-of-attack probes for the F-16XL and F-CK-1 fighter prototypes. It is not an aircraft model but a fine replacement part which replaces the fragile plastic probes from the box with precise and durable metal parts.
The F-16XL was an American experimental fighter aircraft with an elongated delta wing, derived from the F-16 and tested as a demonstrator of an advanced wing. The F-CK-1 was an indigenous Taiwanese fighter; its prototypes carried a characteristic nose probe at the front. Both aircraft had similar sensor equipment at the prototype stage, which this set captures.
Drill a hole in the place of the original plastic probe and glue the metal part in with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the parts before painting and go over them with a metal primer. The metal probe stands up better to bending and to being broken off during the further assembly of the model.
This is a detailing accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
