This Eduard set in 1:72 scale contains precisely cut self-adhesive painting masks for a plastic model of the American single-seat multirole Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II. It is neither a kit nor an aircraft model in its own right but an aid for painting: the masks follow the framing of the canopy and the rest of the glazing exactly, so that you spray sharp, straight frame lines without lengthily laying out adhesive tape.
The Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II is an American single-seat multirole fifth-generation combat aircraft with reduced radar visibility (stealth). It is built in three versions that differ in the way they take off and land, and it serves with the air force, the navy and the marine corps. It carries armament and sensors in internal bays in order to keep its low observability, and it ranks among the most modern aircraft of the present day.
Lift the masks carefully off the backing film with tweezers or the tip of a scalpel and press them onto the glazing so that they follow the shape of the frames. The clear areas stay covered and only the frame is left exposed. Spray the paint, ideally with an airbrush in thin coats, and remove the masks once it has dried. Wipe off any adhesive residue with a lightly dampened cloth.
The package contains only the cut masks. The model, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
