Eduard F-35C RAM Coating mask 1:72

A specialized self-adhesive masking set from Eduard in 1:72 scale for models of the American fifth-generation fighter Lockheed Martin F-35C Lightning II. Unlike ordinary glazing masks, this set serves to reproduce the characteristic pattern of the radar absorbent material (RAM coating) on the skin of the airframe. The masks are of high-quality kabuki film with sharp edges.

Use

  • Spray the base shade of the airframe and let it dry.
  • Following the instructions, stick the masks on in the shape of the RAM coating panels.
  • Overspray with a slightly different shade that suggests the effect of the RAM coating.
  • Take the masks off and reveal the sharply bounded panels.

For modelers of modern aircraft who want to capture the typical two-tone look of the surface with its suggested RAM coating faithfully on the F-35C.
