Quickboost 1:72 F4U Corsair stabilizer is a resin replacement part for refining a model of the American carrier-based fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin replacement horizontal stabilizer, that is the horizontal tail surface, for a model of the American Vought F4U Corsair carrier-based fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not an airplane model but a detail part of the Quickboost brand. The casting replaces the kit part with a more faithful rendering with the correct profile and finer surface engraving.
The F4U Corsair was an American carrier-based fighter, easily recognized by its inverted gull wing and its long nose. It was powered by the powerful Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp radial engine, thanks to which it was among the fastest piston fighters of its day. It was deployed mainly in the Pacific and served after the Second World War as well. The horizontal tail surface affects the silhouette of the tail section, and its faithful shape raises the overall impression the model makes.
First wash the part to remove mold release residue from the mold. Carefully separate it from the casting block with a saw or a knife and bond it with super glue (cyanoacrylate); ordinary cement for plastic does not hold on resin. Sand with respiratory protection, because resin dust is very fine. Before painting, lightly roughen the surface and apply a primer suitable for resin.
This is an accessory for refining a plastic kit, not a standalone model. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
