A colored 3D interior decal from Quinta Studio in 1:72 scale, intended for models of the F6F-5 Hellcat fighter. The raised, full-color details are printed from resin on backing decal paper and are transferred the wet way. It is not photo-etch and not resin castings. The set is prepared for the F6F-5 kit from Eduard.
The Grumman F6F Hellcat was an American carrier-borne fighter of the Second World War. The later F6F-5 version brought small aerodynamic improvements, revised skinning and strengthened armament, and became the most numerously built variant of the type.
Cut the part from the sheet, leave it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the backing paper into place with tweezers. It has no adhesive layer of its own; it holds on a gloss varnish of the Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22 type, which you coat the surfaces with beforehand, and on uneven spots a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener, as it will attack the printed resin.
This is an accessory for a plastic model, not the model itself. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
