A set of figures of the flight deck crew and fire fighters of the US Navy in 1:72 scale from the Japanese brand Fujimi. The set is meant to bring dioramas with an aircraft carrier deck and modern naval aircraft to life; besides figures in various poses it also contains a model of a fire engine.
On the deck of a modern aircraft carrier a number of specialists work, told apart by the color of their jerseys, from the directors, the yellow shirts, through the catapult crews to the fire fighters and rescue teams. The figures capture these crew members in typical working poses, pilots included; the rendering matches the equipment of the modern US Navy.
Small figures in 1:72 scale stand out best once they have been sprayed with a primer and painted with a brush, with the emphasis on telling the jerseys of the individual trades apart by color. We recommend fine shading and bringing out the faces and hands; light weathering brings the fire engine to life.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
