Flakpanzer IV Kugelblitz 1:72 from UM is a plastic kit of the German anti-aircraft tank of the end of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from UM. The subject is the German self-propelled anti-aircraft tank Flakpanzer IV Kugelblitz of the end of the Second World War. The model is supplied as an unassembled and unpainted kit.
The Kugelblitz, meaning ball lightning, was one of the most advanced German anti-aircraft tanks of its day. A fully enclosed rotating turret with a ball mount for a pair of 30 mm automatic cannons was set on the chassis of the Panzer IV tank. Unlike the older versions with an open superstructure, it offered the crew better protection. Only a very few were built at the very close of the war, which makes it a rare subject and one sought after among modelers.
Assemble and fine-tune the running gear and the lower hull first, and only then close up the superstructure and the turret. Use thin cement for plastic and clean the flash off the smaller parts. We recommend priming the surface, spraying the basic camouflage with an airbrush and building the final patina with washes and pigments for mud and dust effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
