A set of masks for the canopy glazing and for the wheels of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190A model in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The masks replace the laborious cutting of strips of masking tape. You stick them onto the clear part, spray them with paint along with the rest of the model and peel them off once dry. What remains is a straight frame edge that hand-cut tape can hardly achieve in 1:72 scale. The set contains masks for the canopy glazing and for the wheels.
Wash the clear part first and let it dry completely; a mask will not hold on greasy glazing. Lift the mask off with the tip of a knife or with tweezers and set it in place dry, following the frame. Press it down over its whole area, especially carefully along the edges, or the paint will creep underneath. The masks go on before spraying, not after. Spray first the shade that belongs on the frames inside the cockpit, then the outer color. Peel the mask off as soon as the paint has dried enough not to tear, not after several days, when the adhesive comes away less easily.
The circular masks separate the hub from the tire, so you can spray each of them in a different color without going over it by hand with a brush. They only fit a wheel of the matching diameter, though, so compare them with the parts you are building before you stick them on. A gray-black tone suits a tire better than pure black.
For modelers building the Fw 190A in a small scale, where the glazing is tiny and masking by hand takes a long time. The masks are cut to the shape of the parts of a particular kit, so check that they match the one you are building. The model, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
