A set of cut masking templates in 1:72 scale from MH models, intended for spraying the characteristic spiral onto the propeller spinner of a Focke-Wulf Fw 190 model in the A, F and G versions. This is not a model but an accessory that makes the otherwise demanding and uneven hand painting of the spiral easier. The masks hold both the shape and the spacing of the pattern, so the spiral comes out even all the way around the spinner.
A spiral on the propeller spinner was among the typical recognition features of German fighters of the Second World War. On the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 it appeared in several forms and color combinations. The Fw 190 was one of the most important German fighter and ground-attack aircraft of its time and it was built in many versions, the A, F and G series among them.
First spray the base color of the spinner, place the spiral masks once it has dried and go over them in a contrasting shade. An airbrush and thin coats will keep the paint from running under the edge. Peel the masks off carefully once dry. For a clean result we recommend smoothing the surface of the spinner beforehand.
This is a masking accessory, not a model. Paints, glue and the kit itself are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
