A photo-etched set of the German FuG 220 Lichtenstein SN-2 radar antenna in 1:72 scale from Brengun for detailing Luftwaffe night fighters.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of fine photo-etched parts representing the antenna array of the German FuG 220 Lichtenstein SN-2 airborne radar of the Second World War. It is made for completing models of German night fighters in 1:72 scale, for example the Bf 110, the Ju 88, the He 219 or the Ta 154. It is not a model but a detail accessory.
The FuG 220 Lichtenstein SN-2 was an airborne search and interception radar used by German night fighters to find and attack targets in the dark. Its characteristic antlers of massive antenna rods on the nose of the aircraft became an identifying feature of the Luftwaffe night fighter force at the end of the war.
The antenna rods are very fine and fragile; use a new blade to separate them and work on a hard surface. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. We recommend painting the parts only once they are assembled and handling the finished antenna gently.
This is an accessory set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
