The Eduard photo-etched set for the Fw 190A-8/R2 1:72 is a photo-etched detail accessory for refining the plastic kit of this German fighter, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched detail set in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory for refining the plastic kit of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8/R2 fighter. The thin metal parts replace and complete small features that cannot be made faithfully in injection-molded plastic, typically cockpit details, the instrument panel, controls, seat belts and fine exterior parts. The set is meant for modelers who want to lift a base kit to a higher level.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was one of the main German fighters of the Second World War, with a radial engine. The A-8 version was among the most widespread; the version with the R2 field conversion carried heavy gun armament and was used above all to destroy Allied bombers.
Separate the photo-etched parts carefully from the fret, bend them on the edge of a blade or in a bending tool and join them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Areas finished in color can be picked out with a brush, while matte metal parts should be given a primer before varnishing. Working with fine photo-etched parts calls for tweezers and a sharp knife and suits advanced builders better.
This is an accessory, not a model of the aircraft. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
