1:72 German Infantry 1939-42

German infantry 1939-1942 (1:72, Zvezda)

A set of plastic figures, not a vehicle model. This set in 1:72 scale from Zvezda contains figures of German infantrymen of the early period of the Second World War, that is, of 1939 to 1942. It is precisely the time frame that sets this set apart from more general infantry sets: the gear and uniforms match the early phase of the war. The figures in various poses will bring dioramas to life and serve as units for tabletop wargames.

The figures and their equipment

• German infantrymen in poses matching the years 1939 to 1942
• Uniforms and gear of the early phase of the Second World War
• Suitable for combat scenes from the campaigns of the start of the war
• The parts are usually designed as a simple kit, mostly without glue

Building and painting tips

Separate the small parts carefully with a sharp knife and secure the joints with super glue if needed. Paint the figures with a brush: build the skin tones up from a flesh base and darken the recesses with a wash. Separate the early gray-green Wehrmacht uniforms with transitions of shade and bring out the details of the gear with drybrushing.

Who the set is for

For modelers and wargamers interested in the early period of the Second World War who build dioramas in 1:72 scale or need infantry units. Working with small figures calls for patience and a steady hand.

The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints and accessories are not included in the package.
