Turned metal antennas of the German FuG 218 Neptun radar in 1:72 scale by the manufacturer Master. A replacement for the plastic kit parts with fine metal.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accurate turned metal accessory for models of German night fighters of the Second World War in 1:72 scale fitted with the FuG 218 Neptun airborne radar. The set replaces the coarse plastic antennas with fine metal (brass) parts. The radar appeared on machines such as the Me 262 or the Ar 234 in the night fighter role. It is not an aircraft model but a detail replacement part.
The metal antennas are thin, straight and accurate in a way a plastic molding cannot reach, and they are markedly more resistant to bending and snapping. The characteristic antenna array on the nose thus gains the fine and faithful look typical of night fighters.
Drill holes in the antenna frame with a fine bit and assemble the metal parts; soldering is recommended for joining them. Glue the assembled antennas in with cyanoacrylate. The set is better suited to more experienced modelers.
This is a supplementary detail set, not a complete kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
