This is a photo-etched detail set of reflector gunsights, not a kit. It holds a set of fine gunsights usable on models of fighters of various nations in 1:72 scale. The photo-etched parts replace coarse plastic gunsights with a more faithful rendering and add realism to a cockpit.
The reflector gunsight was a key piece of fighter equipment, from the Second World War to postwar types. The set offers variants matching the aircraft of the Allies and of other air powers, so the builder can choose the right type for the subject. The gunsight is clearly visible in a cockpit, which is why improving it shows so much.
Separate the small photo-etched parts with a sharp knife, bend them carefully over an edge and bond them with a small amount of super glue. The transparent glass of the sight can be suggested with a drop of clear adhesive or with thin film. Degrease the parts before painting and use a primer.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
