Masks for the glazing and wheels of the Halifax B Mk.II (1:72) — die-cut self-adhesive Eduard painting masks for accurate spraying of the glazing and the wheels of the four-engined bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of die-cut self-adhesive painting masks of the Eduard brand in 1:72 scale for a model of the British Halifax B Mk.II heavy bomber. It is neither a kit nor a model — they are precisely die-cut masks in thin masking tape which adhere to the glazing of the cockpit, the gun turrets and to the landing gear wheels. With them you can spray a great many frames and the centers of the discs with a crisp edge, without laboriously cutting tape.
The Handley Page Halifax was a British four-engined heavy bomber of the Royal Air Force during the Second World War. The B Mk.II version was among the widely deployed variants and served on night raids over occupied Europe and on other duties too. Together with the Lancaster it made up the backbone of the British bomber force.
Spray the shade of the frames first, and once it is dry lay the masks on the glazing and overspray with the color of the fuselage. The many windows of the cockpit and the gun turrets are managed far faster with pre-shaped masks than by hand. The wheel masks hold the center of the disc while the tires are sprayed. For the best adhesion, degrease the surface before applying them, rid it of dust and press the masks down with a soft tool, so that paint does not run under the edge.
This is a masking set. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
