About product

Sd.Kfz. 251/1 Ausf. A 1:72 (First to Fight)

An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Sd.Kfz. 251/1 half-track armored personnel carrier in the early Ausf. A form, in 1:72 scale. The model is designed as a straightforward and quick build with a lower number of parts, ideal for beginners and for filling out wargaming armies. Paints, glue and decals may not be included in the package.

The real subject

The Sd.Kfz. 251 was the most widespread German half-track armored personnel carrier of the Second World War, popularly called the Hanomag after its maker. The early Ausf. A form was marked by split side armor plates on the hull. The vehicle carried infantry and, in many specialized versions, accompanied armored units throughout the war.

Building and painting tips

Clean the parts up after cutting them from the sprues, and finish the running gear and the interior of the hull before closing it. Lay the base shade down with an airbrush, bring out the recesses and the rivets with a wash, and use dry pigments for dust and mud.

Who the model is for

  • Collectors of armored vehicles in 1:72 scale
  • Wargamers and fans of German equipment
  • Beginners looking for a quick project

The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
