A set of waterslide decals from Exotic Decals intended for plastic models of the Hawker Hurricane fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit: the decals serve to mark and finish a model that has already been built; neither the kit itself nor the paints are included in the package.

The real subject

The Hawker Hurricane was a British single-seat fighter and one of the mainstays of the RAF in the early stages of the Second World War. The Royal Yugoslav Air Force took Hurricane Mk.Is into service before April 1941, and some of the aircraft were also built under license in domestic factories. The set covers the national insignia and the markings of the aircraft of that era.

Use

• Transfer the decals onto a dry and ideally gloss finish, so that no silvered edges appear.
• A decal softener will help them settle onto engraved lines and surface detail.
• Once dry, unify the surface with a matte or satin varnish.
