1:72 Hawker Hurricane Mk IIC - Hispano Mk II 20mm cannons (with round recoil springs) (4pcs)

Hawker Hurricane Mk IIC - Hispano Mk II 20 mm cannons (4 pcs) - turned barrels from MASTER, 1:72 scale

A set of four precisely turned metal barrels from the Polish maker MASTER in 1:72 scale, representing the 20 mm Hispano Mk II wing cannons with round recoil springs. It is not a model or a kit - it is a detail accessory that replaces the plastic barrels on a Hurricane Mk IIC model. The turned metal has accurate geometry and a cleanly bored muzzle. There are 4 pieces in the package - the full armament of the cannon version. The basic model, paints and glue are not included in the package.

The real subject

The Hawker Hurricane Mk IIC was a British fighter of the Second World War in which the designers replaced the machine gun armament with four 20 mm Hispano cannons in the wing. This cannon-armed version stood out as a heavily armed day and night fighter. The Mk II form of the Hispano cannon can be told from the earlier Mk I by its round recoil springs, which the set reflects.

Installation tips

• Cut off the plastic barrels as the kit instructions show and clean up the seating surfaces.
• Glue the metal parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) - plastic cement does not hold on metal.
• Degrease the metal and apply a primer before painting so the paint adheres.
• Make sure all four barrels are in line and stand out equally far.

Who the set is for

• For builders of the Hurricane Mk IIC in 1:72 scale who want sharp metal barrels.
• For modelers who replace soft plastic parts with accurate metal.
• For collectors of detail accessories for British fighter aircraft.

This is an accessory, not a model. The basic kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
