Photo-etched metal parts for a model of the Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIc in 1:72 scale. Thin sheet makes it possible to produce parts that come out too robust in injection-molded plastic, and on a finished model they therefore read more convincingly. Which parts of the model the set deals with, and in what order the parts are fitted, are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The Hurricane was a British single-engine fighter, a robust and undemanding machine in service that was easy to repair even in the field. It served in many roles, from day fighter through night fighter to attacks on ground targets, and on a number of fronts. The Mk.IIc version is the cannon-armed one: it carried four 20 millimeter cannons in the wings instead of the earlier machine gun armament, which showed in the appearance of the wing as well.
You will make the work easier by leaving the parts on the carrier fret until the moment you fit them; a tiny piece is easily lost on a bench. Separate them with a sharp blade, make the fold along the etched groove and set the edge home with pressure along its whole length. Metal is bonded with cyanoacrylate applied in a minute amount, including to plastic. It makes sense to paint and pick out the interior areas of the model before you close the fuselage, because later you cannot reach them.
For modelers who build Second World War aircraft in a small scale and want to take a model further than the contents of the box. The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
