Die-cut Montex painting masks in 1:72 scale for the British aircraft Handley Page Harrow. They make it easier to spray the glazing and the other divided areas of this prewar bomber precisely.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive masks from the maker Montex, cut to fit the kit of the Handley Page Harrow aircraft in 1:72 scale. The Harrow has divided glazing on the cabin and on the gun positions, and outlining it by hand with a brush is lengthy and risky - with masks you will achieve straight, sharp lines at the first attempt.
The Handley Page Harrow was a British twin-engined high-wing monoplane with a fixed undercarriage from the second half of the 1930s. It entered service with the RAF as a heavy bomber at a time of headlong rearmament, when Britain needed to bring the strength of its squadrons up quickly. With the arrival of more modern types it moved to auxiliary duties - it served above all as a transport aircraft and proved itself in experiments with refueling in flight as well. Despite its unobtrusive career it remained in service for most of the Second World War, which makes it an interesting and seldom seen subject for a collection.
Wash and degrease the clear parts before masking. Lift the individual pieces of the masks off the backing with tweezers, seat them along the framing and press the edges down carefully with a toothpick or a small spatula. Spray light layers so that the paint is not drawn underneath, and remove the masks shortly after it has dried. With a first layer in the interior color you will achieve the right look for the frames from inside the cabin.
This is a modeling accessory - the kit of the aircraft itself is not included in the package.
