An Eduard photo-etched detail set for the Soviet Polikarpov I-16 Type 5 fighter in 1:72 scale for a more convincing build.
Responsibility details are not available.
A standalone detail set, not a model of an aircraft. It contains photo-etched parts for refining the build of the Soviet Polikarpov I-16 Type 5 fighter in 1:72 scale. It replaces and complements plastic elements with finer photo-etched parts. The manufacturer is the Czech company Eduard.
The Polikarpov I-16 was a Soviet fighter of the 1930s and one of the first production monoplanes with retractable landing gear. This small, stocky aircraft with a radial engine proved itself in the Spanish Civil War and was also used at the start of the fighting on the Eastern Front. Type 5 was one of the early versions.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a cutting surface and form the bends with tweezers or a bender. Bond with super glue applied in small drops. Degrease the surfaces before painting and protect the fine parts from sanding.
A detail set, supplied unassembled. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
