Eduard 1:72 IAR-80 painting masks

A set of precise painting masks from Eduard for a model of the Romanian IAR-80 fighter in 1:72 scale. The masks are die-cut from kabuki tape and serve to mask the canopy frames and the rest of the glazing quickly and cleanly before spraying paint. The set usually also contains circular masks for the wheels, which make spraying the tires and hubs easier.

Use

• Lift the mask off the sheet with tweezers and lay it exactly on the frame of the glazing.
• Press the edges down carefully so that paint cannot run under the film.
• Spray the paint with an airbrush or from a can; remove the mask once it has dried.
• The film follows the curvature of the canopy and leaves sharp, clean frame edges.
