An airbrush template for spraying camouflage on models of Italian aircraft in 1:72 scale. It defines the shape of the blotches and their spacing, so that the pattern does not have to be drawn freehand and can be repeated identically on both sides of the model and on further builds.
The package consists of two pieces of template. The number in the name distinguishes the individual sheets within the range. Before purchase, compare the size and the shape of the pattern with the subject you are building.
Lay the template on a dry undercoat before spraying the paint that is to form the pattern. The closer to the surface you hold it, the sharper the edge of the blotch will be; at a distance of a few millimeters you get the soft overspray suited to a mottled pattern. Thin the paint more than usual and apply it in several light coats perpendicular to the surface, so that it does not run under the edge of the template. Between moves, wipe the template while the paint is fresh, because a dried deposit on the edge will blur the outline.
For modelers who paint with an airbrush and want the camouflage pattern regular and repeatable, and also for those who do not dare to spray a more complex scheme freehand. With ordinary handling the template can be used repeatedly; after you finish spraying, let it dry out flat, so that it keeps a straight shape and a precise outline.
The model, the paints, the thinner and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
