A photo-etched metal set in 1:72 scale for a model of the Saab 35 Draken aircraft in the Austrian form J 35Ö.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Saab 35 Draken is a Swedish supersonic fighter of the nineteen-fifties, recognizable at first glance by its double-delta wing. The layout joined a large internal fuel supply with low drag and allowed a short takeoff. The J 35Ö designation was carried by machines in Austrian service, where the Draken went after being withdrawn from the Swedish Air Force and where it served until the beginning of this century.
It is a fret of photo-etched metal parts, that is an accessory for a build and not a model in its own right. Etched metal comes into its own where thin sheet is called for: on panels, belts, grilles and covers, which in 1:72 scale cannot be made finely enough by injection molding. Which parts of the model the set deals with is given by the manufacturer's instructions.
In a small scale, work over a surface with a raised edge, as tiny parts are apt to spring away. Separate them with a sharp blade on a hard surface, not by twisting. Make the bends along the marked score line in a bending tool or between two metal rules. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue applied with the tip of a toothpick, and before painting degrease the metal and lay a base coat for metal surfaces underneath.
The kit of the model, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
