Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive pre-cut painting masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:72 scale. This is not a model, but an accessory for the build: the masks are used for clean spraying of the frames of the extensive glazed canopy and for masking the wheel rims. The thin film follows the shape of the frames exactly, so the slow cutting falls away and the edges stay sharp.
The Nakajima J1N Gekko was a Japanese twin-engine naval aircraft of the Second World War. It was originally created as a reconnaissance machine, but a number of examples were converted into night fighters with obliquely mounted cannons, which could threaten even heavy American bombers. The Allies gave it the code name Irving. Its long, heavily glazed canopy is characteristic and calls for careful masking.
Lift the mask off the backing, seat it accurately on the glazing and press it down. Spray the frames with an airbrush, first in the interior shade and then in the exterior color, and peel the masks off once they are dry. Cover the large transparent areas between the frames with masking fluid or tape. Degrease the glazing before applying, for better adhesion.
This is not a model of the aircraft, but a set of masks. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
