A collector model of the German Jagdpanzer IV tank destroyer in 1:72 scale. Suitable for a display case and as an addition to a larger collection of military equipment.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Jagdpanzer IV was a German tank destroyer of the Second World War, built on the chassis of the Panzer IV medium tank. The rotating turret gave way to a low fixed superstructure with sloped armor walls, into which a 75 mm gun was rigidly built. The vehicle thereby gained a low silhouette and better frontal armor protection, but it paid for that with limited traverse, because aiming to the side meant turning the whole machine. It was deployed in defensive fighting, where the low silhouette paid off.
This is a collector model in 1:72 scale, the usual collecting scale for military equipment, in which the vehicle takes up roughly the length of a palm. In this scale a whole group of machines can be stood in one display case and their sizes compared with each other, which runs into space problems in larger scales. The scope of the delivery and the finish of the model are stated in the manufacturer's description.
Stand the model on a firm surface out of direct sunlight, which takes the depth out of the colors over time. Dust is taken off with a soft brush or a gentle stream of air, not with a cloth, which easily knocks off small external details. When carrying it, hold the model by the bottom of the hull, not by the gun barrel or the fenders.
A display case, a base and figures are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The finish of the model is stated in the manufacturer's description.
