A finished model of the German Jagdtiger heavy tank destroyer in 1:72 scale, supplied assembled and ready for display.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Jagdtiger was among the heaviest fighting vehicles of the Second World War. It was based on the chassis of the Tiger II heavy tank, which was lengthened to take the large gun, and it carried the weapon in a fixed armored superstructure without a rotating turret. That arrangement allowed heavy frontal armor and a massive barrel, but the gunner had to turn the whole vehicle onto the target. Only a few dozen vehicles were built and they went into action in the final months of the war.
This is a finished model in 1:72 scale, that is, a piece meant for display rather than a kit. You do not assemble it, glue it or paint it. In 1:72 scale a vehicle of this size comes out at roughly ten centimeters long, so it fits an ordinary shelf and sits well next to other models of the same scale. The finish and markings of the individual piece are stated by the manufacturer.
It looks best in a closed display case, where dust does not settle on the model. If it stands in the open, dust it with a soft brush and do not press on the gun barrel, which is the most exposed part. Carry the model by the hull and do not place it where direct sunlight falls, as the colors gradually fade there.
Collectors building a series of vehicles in a single scale will reach for it, as will anyone looking for a gift for someone interested in military equipment who does not want to build anything. A display case, a base and other accessories are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
