A plastic kit of a heavy tractor with a semitrailer for transporting tanks, in service with the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF), in 1:72 scale from Aoshima. The model faithfully captures the engine and frame of the tractor as well as the running gear of the semitrailer. The support legs of the semitrailer are supplied in two versions, folded and extended, which can be swapped even after assembly.
The Type 73 heavy tank transporter is a three-axle tractor-and-semitrailer combination intended for transporting main battle tanks. It serves above all to move Type 74 and Type 10 tanks over longer distances and is notable for its high load capacity and its rugged construction for moving over rough ground.
Assemble and paint the frame and the running gear before you close up the body. The large load bed of the semitrailer comes into its own with washes and pigments for dust and mud effects. Choose the support legs according to whether you want to display the model coupled up or parked.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
